2012 Sponsorship Opportunities
Throughout the year, the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce offers many opportunities for area businesses to get their company name out to other Chamber members and to the community. These sponsorship opportunities include the following:
Leaders In Business Lunch
Our Leaders In Business Lunch offers both an educational component for small businesses and a strong networking component to connect area businesses. Always the second Tuesday of each month, these events are attended by approximately 100 area business professionals. Sponsorship is $1,800 and includes billing in all event promotions and follow-up coverage, as well as five to seven minutes to address attendees and information distribution during event. Value is $1,800.
Business After Hours
Always held the fourth Thursday of every month except November, December, and January, these events are usually attended by 150-200 business professionals, and they offer an end-of-the-day networking opportunity to help meet new clients, gain exposure for businesses, and expand networks. Sponsors receive up to five minutes to address attendees and sponsor billing in all event advertisements. Sponsor is responsible for heavy hors d’oeuvres and one to two beverages for 150-200 people at the venue of sponsor’s choice. No additional fee is required.
Annual Networking Tournament
The Chamber’s Annual Networking Golf Tournament, to be held Oct. 10, 2012, offers outstanding networking and advertising opportunities for all members – avid golfers and non-golfers, alike. All skill levels are encouraged to play in this flighted four-person scramble. Prizes are awarded for tournament winners, as well as for hole-in-one, longest drive, putting contest, and closest to the pin. Value is $110 to $2,500.
5th Annual Multi-Chamber Business Expo & Taste of Okaloosa County
For the fifth year, the chambers of commerce in Okaloosa County will partner to bring their members the biggest marketing and networking opportunity around – the Multi-Chamber Business Expo & Taste of Okaloosa County. The event, hosted by the Crestview Area, Destin Area, Greater Fort Walton Beach, and Niceville Valparaiso Chambers of Commerce, is open to the public to attend at no charge. More than 600 people have attended the event in previous years. Booth spaces and sponsorships are available. Event is March 2, 2012. Value ranges from $275 to $600.
New Member Reception
Every quarter, the Chamber staff and Board of Directors invite new members to a reception to warmly welcome them and to introduce them to the benefits of their new membership. Sponsors are invited to join us in this welcome and will be given five minutes to address the attendees. Value is $250.
Sports Commission Events
The Destin Area Sports Commission creates events to draw people to Destin to enjoy our world-class sporting venues, as well as the area’s many accommodations and amenities. The commission holds events throughout the year, such as PUTToberfest in October, a beer tasting and miniature golf extravaganza, as well as Destin’s Bayou, Bay & Back 5K Run/Walk, 10K & Half Marathon in January. This is a young organization, which will be creating many more events throughout the year. Each event will be announced in our weekly Tuesday Talking Points email.
