Post Hurricane Business Information Sheet
After Hurricane Dennis came ashore in July 2005, the Chamber received
hundreds of phone calls per day requesting information about businesses
in the Destin area. The Chamber did its best to contact members to find
out who was open or where extensive damage had been done. It created an
‘Open for Business’ page on the website and directed callers and website
visitors to it to read the latest statuses on area businesses. The page
was kept up to date with information received from members – what
accommodations were accepting visitors, what restaurants were serving
food, etc.
Should any need arise, we want to be better equipped to distribute
information about our members in the coming years. Please familiarize
yourself with the information sheet below. We will also keep a copy
posted on our website. After a significant weather event passes, please
fill in this sheet and return it to the Chamber, via email Recovery@DestinChamber.com
or fax (850) 654-5612, at your earliest convenience. Should your power
be down and you are unable to reach us via email or fax, please call
(850) 837-2711 x1, and leave a message.
