The last person up was my husband and they weren’t sure they would be able to get him in before the storm hit, but they did, and it made for some great photos. This is me and my husband Norman enjoying our favorite beach activity. This is the best stress reliever I know of. We live in Pineville, KY, and enjoy Destin. We use to go to another beach, but once we came to Destin four years ago, we were hooked and will not even think of going anywhere else for vacation. This picture was taken in front of Marvilla Resort in July 2011. Our daughter enlarged this photo into a 16x20 in our home, and (we) look at it daily.

One of my favorite things to do while visiting the Emerald Coast is to get up early in the morning and take photos. One morning about 6ish, I turned to see a guy on one knee proposing to his girlfriend. I started snapping photos without them knowing. The sunrise was beautiful, and the moment was breathtaking! I got a lot of great shots and talked with the couple. They were so happy I was there at the right time. They could not believe I got the shots! Once in a lifetime shot!
