Event Description: White-Wilson hosts first-ever 5k Run/walk to benefit Preventative healthcare

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.—Dec. 21, 2012— The “For the Health of it” 5k run/walk will be held January 5, 2013 to raise money to benefit the White-Wilson Medical Foundation, which provides healthcare services and education to the community. The race begins at 8 a.m. at the Saint Mary Parish Life Center on 165 Coral Dr. in Fort Walton Beach.

T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 200 registrants and awards will be given for the top three males and females in five-year age categories. There will also be a Master, Grand Master, overall male and female runner and overall male and female walker awards.

This event will be held in conjunction with the Fort Walton Beach Chamber’s Healthy Living Expo, which begins at 9 a.m. at the Saint Mary Parish Life Center. Race registration is open on active.com.
