Harbor Entry #109 West Jetty of the Destin Pass - It could not have been a more perfect day in May 2006 for a boat ride along the coast. The sun positioned in just the right spot along with a clear sky, provided the perfect opportunity of capturing "the colors of Destin." This photo speaks for
itself as to why this area is referred to as the "Emerald Coast."

Harbor Entry #108 Sunsets are special in all the little harbors of the Emerald Coast. This one particularly impressed me because it was like the clouds were floating down from the sky on a path from heaven. It was taken Labor Day weekend 2006 over the Choctawatchee Bay.

Harbor Entry #93 The "Elizabeth Ann," an icon of the Destin fishing fleet, was heavily damaged by fire several years ago. She was sent up river back to the yard that built her and was there for over a year. This picture of the "Elizabeth Ann" and her skipper was taken upon her return to take her place once again as one of the jewels of the fleet. Destin is glad to have her back.

Harbor Entry #92 Destin cheers me up. My first stop is always the docks where the boaters are happy and the birds are friendly. The Heron in the picture had a wound to his wing. I took the picture of him and said, Does your wing hurt? I swear he turned to me, nodded three times, as if saying, Yes, indeed, it hurts. I hope he is okay now.

Harbor Entry #83 When I took this photo on Sept. 1, I was enjoying my lunch at the Lucky Snapper and noticed the many boats lined up along the shoreline. The sea gull in this photo almost appears to be laughing at the swimmers and sun bathers, while the majesty of the boat lends a little seriousness to the situation.

Harbor Entry #82 I took this photo Sept. 1, standing on a dock near the Lucky Snapper. I enjoyed watching the fisherman quickly clean each fish. You can almost feel the water spraying from the nozzle. I marvel at the color of the fish he caught hanging on the stand.

Harbor Entry #56 One of the town's most colorful and meaningful annual events is the Blessing of the Fleet.
