Beach Entry #30
I took this outside our condo during a spectacular sunset on Oct. 19, 2007. The Destin sunsets never cease to amaze me. Such a peaceful feeling. Our family always stands outside whenever there's a sunset and toasts our good fortune to be lucky enough to experience a little slice of heaven!

This photo was taken on the Okaloosa Island Pier. I was amazed this bird let me get so close! In the background surfers are enjoying the larger waves lingering after Hurricane Gustav.

Beach Entry #20
Doesn't everyone come to the ocean to find shells? My son found this one in Destin around the end of June of 2008, but it was occupied by a crab. Check out the vibrant pink on the shell. Really beautiful.

There were so many birds on the beach near the jetties. They made quite a sight when they all flew up at once.

Picture of someone that was surfing out near Pompano Joes. There is a cable there that several people were using to pull them up into the waves.

Beach Entry #6 This photo was taken Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, from the balcony of Destin Beach Club. It is special to me because it is a photo you can look at on a bad day and say I wish I was there and know you will be next summer.

Beach Entry #5 Looking east of Destin, out in the Gulf. Easy to see why it's called the Emerald Coast. The water is absolutely beautiful and refreshing.

Beach Entry #1 Taken on July 22, 2008, on Okaloosa Island, close to the East Pass Bridge. I feel this photo captures the many faces of the Gulf of Mexico and the power of the water.
