Harbor Entry #19 This photo was taken 18 August 2009 the day after Tropical Storm Claudette came through the area. Taken from across the East Pass on the west side, this photo captures the majestic new look of the Destin Harbor including the HarborWalk area. The seagulls and foliage in the newly flooded beach area complete the scene.

Harbor Entry #17 My kids were amazed at how close we could get to the birds. The birds were too busy waiting for bait to hit the ground to worry about us, though.

Harbor Entry #15 This photo was taken on July 21, 2009. We had met up with a local couple at the docks. I noticed a heron waiting patently for some hand outs as the boats came in.

Harbor Entry #14 An endless line and ilk of watercraft in Destin's Harbor - While walking across the Marler Bridge one busy Friday afternoon, the colorful and multiple selection of watercraft filling the Destin Harbor seemed endless to the eye. Fortunately, I had my DSLR camera with me and captured the typical activity seen during Destin's busy summer months. This was taken Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, and a beautiful rainbow came to rest over the city of Destin that day as reminder of one of the reasons we have chosen to make this blessed place our home for 36 years.

Harbor Entry #12 Stormy Fishing Weather - Even though we weren’t allowed to swim in the ocean in May, the rough waves made a beautiful soothing sound as they splashed along the shore. The fishing boats were dancing to the rhythm of the waves.

Harbor Entry #9 My 4 sons and their father had been out fishing. While waiting for their catch to be packed I kept watching this pelican fly around. He finally landed in the harbor on a post.

Harbor Entry #8 Taken on Ft. Benning resort dock, chosen because I loved the colors in the bird’s feathers and feet in comparison with the worn, grey dock.

Harbor Entry #6 This photo was taken aboard the Elizabeth Ann fishing charter boat at 6 am at sunrise going out of the harbor to fish. I love it because the person walking out is alone, and it seems so spiritual. Just he and God, alone on a glorious morning together.
