"Soaring" - Taken at Henderson Beach State Park in January 2008. Just as the seagull takes flight and soars, I find my spirit soaring, as I contemplate the vastness of the sea and sky, while at the beach.

Enjoying a day at the beach somewhere off Scenic Hwy 98. I moved here for blue skies, emerald green waters, and white sandy beaches.

This to me signifies that there is light at the end of the rainbow after the oil spill for the residents of the Gulf Coast...notice the double rainbow...This was taken at the Pompano St Beach Access.

This was taken early one morning on Crystal Beach. I was thrilled to have gotten such a great photo depicting the beautiful snow white sand and blue-green water.

I owned a condo in Destin for 13 years and enjoyed many wonderful family times here. I had to sell when my husband became ill and subsequently died. After two years as a widow in Arkansas, I decided to go back to a place where my spirit felt alive and calm. I decided to buy another condo in Destin. In late May, I took my first solo trip to Destin. I had not seen the beach in several years. As I parked the car and headed down the steps at the public beach near the Crab Trap, I found this heart in the sand with rose petals beautifully scattered in the middle. I quickly took the picture with my IPHONE. I took it as a “sign” that my idea to buy another piece of paradise would be a great decision. I bought a unit at Gulf Terrace two weeks later! I am currently on Day 10 of my 14 day “Joy of Doing Nothing” Retreat!
