"Oh Say Can You See?" On a recent family trip to Destin, we decided to take a sunset cruise on a sailboat to celebrate my birthday. The weather forcast was not promising that morning and we contemplated rescheduling. As it turned out, we decided to take our chances and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset. It wasn't until the next day I noticed the cloud formation in one of my photos... My birthday is Sept. 11!

This was taken Sunday Sept. 2, around 6:30 a.m. by the Destin bridge. The gentleman in the yellow rain-gear just reminded me of a New England fisherman.....what's he doing in Florida when the lobsters are better up there? The beautiful Destin harbour in the background - just as the sun had risen.

I have so many good sunset pictures where I work. I moved here in 2002 and landed the best job with the best view in Destin. I work at HarborWalk Marina and have so many beautiful views. It is breathtaking.

This picture is very special to me because I had a sudden urge to be independent and just move to Destin in-between semesters of college. I got very lucky and landed a rental on the harbor with this view. This picture was my motivation to finish school and move to Destin immediately, and that is what I did! Summer 2002
