Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is offering BLS Instructor-Led Training to the community. American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Healthcare Provider Initial courses will be held March through September.
Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.
The BLS Instructor-Led Training Course teaches participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
