The City of Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park & Cultural Center will hold its annual Christmas Open House at the Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum on Saturday December 3, 2016, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm Come join the museum for a free admission day including children’s crafts, old fashioned games and toys, light refreshments, local history, and the beautifully decorated Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum which turned 100 years old in 2012. The Garnier Post Office Museum and Civil War Exhibit building will also be decorated for an old-fashioned celebration as visitors enjoy activities and refreshments during the day. Activities will include butter-churning and sampling. The open house includes free admission to the four museums of Heritage Park & Cultural Center with the Indian Temple Mound Museum open 10:00am-4:30pm. Go over to the Landing after you finish at the schoolhouse and continue the holiday fun with the City of Ft. Walton Beach tree lighting ceremony. Heritage Park & Cultural Center is located at 139 Miracle Strip Parkway SE.
