Cane Weave
Phil Richter will teach participants to replace the seats on their own chairs. Weaving styles to be taught include the classical cane open weave, closed weave of fiber rush common on ladder-back chairs, and herringbone pattern using flat or oval reed. Some chairs & stools are available for learning.

Writing Your Memoirs
Preserve your personal history for posterity by learning how to record your memoirs. Published author Angela Yuriko Smith will be teaching this two hour workshop that will include finding editors, how to get your book on Amazon and finding the right words for a new generation.

Loom Weaving
Try It! Weave on a loom with Sandy Sutton! Experience the joy of weaving by making a small project on a prewarped tabletop or inkle loom in just a few hours. You'll learn how to wind bobbins, throw and catch the shuttle, change the shed to create a pattern and create beautiful fabric. Plus you'll receive an overview of looms, weaving, vocabulary and the world of weaving.
Space is limited!
Participants will be assigned looms based on preference and on a first come, first serve basis.

Basket Weaving
Learn how to make the Casserole Basket that will fit a 9 x 13 pan with Carol Dickson. This is a great basket for beginners but with enough interest that any intermediate student would enjoy weaving.

Pine Needle Basketry
Joe Stoy will teach the age-old tradition of pine needle basketry using the original Seminole techniques. Learn to weave long leaf pine needles into beautiful and useful baskets like the early NW Florida Native Americans.

Learn the fun and useful craft of Crochet with instructor Carol Burkhard.
