Kids on Campus Joins
"All Kinds of Art" Camp
Session Dates: July 25th - 29th
Northwest Florida State College's "Kids on Campus" program and The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation's "All Kinds of Art" are delighted to announce a partnership offering a one week summer camp for 3rd - 8th graders at the college's Chautauqua Center.
This unique experience features a fantastic lineup of visual and performing arts classes, cooking classes, sports activities and a Science 4 You Class --- all in a collegiate setting. Kids rotate through each class daily. This week-long camp includes arts, science and sports immersion experiences that culminate in a dynamic performance showcase for family and friends on Friday.
There are three different options for either half-day or full-day sessions.
Firstly, the "All Kinds of Art" morning sessions, with studio art, theatre, and music classes, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at $125 per child.
Secondly the "Kids on Campus" afternoon sessions; featuring cooking, sports and science, is offered from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at $95 per child.
Alternatively, a full-day "Kids on Campus & All Kinds of Art" session will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the discounted rate of $200 per child.
A highlight of the morning "All Kinds of Art" program includes percussion and world beats with nationally acclaimed musician and educator, Zig Wajler of "Hands on With Zig." His hands-on percussion assemblies have already taken Walton County elementary schools by storm, when he performed for eight different school assemblies in October, courtesy of the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. Zig's special appearance at this camp was made possible by the generosity of The Alys Foundation and Destin Commons-Coins for a Cause.
