Grand Boulevard’s Coastal Culture series continues its ongoing calendar of events with the debut of Theatre Thursdays, presented by Emerald Coast Theatre Company. ECTC presents “A Midsummer Night’s Dream ala Commedia,” a hilarious and family friendly take on William Shakespeare’s play every Thursday, May 28 – July 30 at 8 p.m. in Grand Park. The performances are free and open to the public.
Abrakadoodle kicks off the night at 7 p.m. with their own brand of entertainment, providing face painting and fairy and king crafts for kids, playing perfectly into the night’s Shakespeare theme. Bring your favorite chair and enjoy an entertaining night out under the summer sky.
"Grand Boulevard's magical setting on the Grand Lawn is the perfect place for this adaptation of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The classical language will appeal to the most refined palate and the costumes and clowns will thrill the children. ECTC is thrilled to be a part of Grand Boulevard's Coastal Culture series,” said Nathanael Fisher, Co-Founder and Producing Artistic Director of ECTC.
