The idea of “improvisation” is often surrounded with a lot of mystery. Why do we do it? Why are some people better at it than others? Does it really help you become a better actor? In this workshop through a series of exercises and games we will explore how improvisation can be a great tool to take your acting to a whole new level. Along the way we will discover that improvisation can be beneficial and enjoyable for everyone.
Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) has a dozen different ways to celebrate summer on the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. A not-for-profit professional theater company founded in Miramar Beach, Florida in 2012, ECTC has launched its 2017 summer theater camps series expanded to 12 offerings enabling it to reach even more kids of all ages.
“The success of our educational outreach program has clearly shown that Emerald Coast kids have been bitten by the theater bug,” said ECTC producing artistic director Nathanael Fisher. “We’re excited to build on this momentum with a range of exciting theater camps in various locations so children from across Northwest Florida may experience the joy of theater.”
