Destin, FL, Aug. 16 - During the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Annual Conference in St. Louis, MO, Aug. 10-13, Destin Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Shane Moody was elected to ACCE's Executive Committee, serving as Vice Chairman of its Membership Development Division. His responsibilities include overseeing professional development opportunities and programs for membership professionals in chambers of commerce across the country.
"To be recognized in this capacity as a chamber professional is a great compliment, both personally and professionally. More importantly, it speaks highly of the Destin Chamber," Moody said. "It's great to be able to give back to an association and profession that mean so much to me."
Moody also serves on the ACCE conference planning committee. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Membership Development Division, formerly the National Association for Membership Development, for seven years.
Moody has been President & CEO of the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce since January 2004. Before coming to Destin, he was President & CEO of the Clayton County (GA) Chamber of Commerce and has worked for the Laurens County (SC) Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Greenville (SC) Chamber of Commerce.
