Sockeyes Serves as a Hurricane Relief Donation/Distribution Center

Destin, FL, Sept. 12 - The Sockeyes building in Destin is currently serving as a hurricane relief donation/distribution center for Katrina evacuees. All evacuees are welcome to obtain needed items. The donation inventory consists of food, personal care products, bedding accessories, some furniture, and clothing for all ages. The donation/distribution center is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Sockeyes building is located just east of the Destin Wal-Mart on Highway 98 beside Fudpucker's Restaurant.
The donation/distribution center is asking for all types of appropriate donations (i.e., clothing, food, bedding, accessories, personal hygiene products, and toys). The donation/distribution center needs daily volunteers to help sort donations and assist evacuees.
