Seevers Named Finalist for Council Member of the Year Award

Destin, FL, Oct. 14 - Destin Council Member Sara "Sam" Seevers has been named a finalist for "Florida Council Member of the Year Award."
The Council Member of the Year Award from the Florida League of Cities recognizes a council member's outstanding civic commitment, leadership, public outreach, and service to their city during the past year.
Council member Seevers said, "I am always proud to see the City of Destin represented when there are 408 other cities in the State of Florida. I would never have been nominated without the support of my fellow city council members and our awesome city staff."
The winner of the Council Member of the Year Award will be announced at an Awards Banquet on Nov. 18, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Hotel.
The Florida League of Cities under its "Florida Cities of Excellence" Award Program gives the award. The goal of the awards program is to focus public attention on the good things cities do to improve the quality of life in Florida.
