Destin Area and Walton County Chambers Expand Influence of ECEL Through Partnership
Destin, FL, Dec. 2 - Emerald Coast Emerging Leaders (ECEL), a program of the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce, is increasing its impact in the area through a partnership with the Walton County Chamber of Commerce.
"Through this partnership with our neighboring chamber, we expand not only the opportunity for its members to learn and grow in our organization, but we are also expanding the professional development horizons of our current members through interaction with a wider network of young professionals," said ECEL Chairman George Brannon, Jr., Southern Escrow & Title.
Since its first event in April 2005, the group has been growing in numbers and influence. Created by a 6-person taskforce, ECEL now has 143 members from the Destin and South Walton areas. Through a mixture of educational and social venues, this dynamic organization encourages young professionals in personal and professional development, confidence building, and connections to the community and each other.
"We are truly excited to be collaborating with the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce on this project. It made perfect sense to take advantage of its success developing this program. For us, it means being able to provide a program in such high demand to our members. It ultimately benefits all members of both organizations," said Dawn Moliterno, President & CEO of the Walton County Chamber of Commerce.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2006, membership in the organization will be available to Walton County Chamber of Commerce members at the same rate it is offered to Destin Area Chamber of Commerce members. The cost for Chamber members is $50 per year and $100 per year for non-Chamber members.
