Redesigned Website Better Showcases Destin Area and Serves Members

     Destin, FL, May 23 - The Destin Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the redesign of its website - www.DestinChamber.com. The goal of the redesign is to better showcase the best of the Destin area to those interested in visiting or relocating and to offer members a quick, useful tool to help make the most of their Chamber membership.

     The Chamber’s website serves three audiences: those wishing to visit the Destin area, those wishing to relocate to the Destin area, and Chamber members. Located right in the center of the home page is a tool allowing website users to quickly choose the section that most pertains to them.

     Other features of the improved home page include a large photo highlighting the area’s natural beauty, a featured event section so users will quickly know the most exciting event in the area, and the ability to sign up for a ‘What’s Happening in Destin?’ email for visitors. For those that sign up, the Chamber will send a monthly email highlighting upcoming events and news that would be important for visitors to know. The home page will also include a news section with direct links to the Chamber’s most recent releases and newsletters.

     The most exciting new feature for members inside the redesigned website is a Member News page located in the News & Media section. Any Chamber member with special business information to share with all Chamber members and website visitors may submit a 100-word item. Only Chamber members are allowed to submit news items and only one item per member will be posted each week. The item will stay on the Member News page for one week, during which time a link to the page will be sent out in our weekly Tuesday Talking Points email.

     As always, the website will contain member listings and, if available, links to member websites in the Business Directory section; the ability to RSVP for Chamber events; and great information about the Destin area, relocating, the Chamber, and more.
