Chamber President and CEO Receives Recognition for 15 Years of Service, Reelected to FACP Board

     Destin, FL, Aug. 1 - During the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) annual meeting last week in Jacksonville, Destin Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Shane Moody received two distinct honors. He was recognized for 15 years of chamber service, and he was reelected to another 3-year term on the FACP Board of Directors.

     Shane being on the Board of FACP is invaluable to the Destin Chamber and its membership. The organization provides access to other Chamber professionals across the state which helps Destin stay on top of issues that affect not only our membership, but also statewide issues for our economy and business in general,” explained Immediate Past Chairman Kevin Bowyer, O’Sullivan Creel, LLP.

     Moody was originally elected to the FACP Board in 2004, when he was hired at the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce. Before Destin, Moody was the President and CEO of the Clayton County (GA) Chamber of Commerce. He began his chamber career at the Greenville (SC) Chamber of Commerce.
