Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Grand Opening of Destin Family YMCA

     Destin, FL, Aug. 29 - On Aug. 24, Destin Area Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Destin Family YMCA with a ribbon cutting.

     Programs and benefits of YMCA membership include free land aerobics, free spinning, free aquacise, reduced program fees, free childcare, free lap swimming, swim lessons, swim team, Y-AWAY program, sibling discounts, and volunteer opportunities. Through Dec. 31, 2007, members will have access to all Y-Branches of the Emerald Coast. The new facility will offer a competition pool, family pool with zero depth entry and lazy river, children’s splash zone, full women’s and men’s locker rooms, and an outdoor walking/jogging trail. The fitness center should open before the end of this year.
