Moody Appointed Chair-Elect of Florida Association of Chamber Professionals

     Destin, FL, Oct. 27 - Destin Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Shane A. Moody, CCE, IOM, was installed as chair-elect during the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals’ (FACP) 89th Annual Leadership Conference in Orlando, during Oct. 12-14.

     “Being chosen by your peers to lead the state association is a great honor,” said Moody. “Working with chamber leaders across the state, including the Florida Chamber of Commerce, to establish professional development and marketing programs at a time when our profession is rapidly changing will be a fun challenge.”

     FACP supplies chamber of commerce professionals with the educational tools they need to fulfill their chambers’ missions, and its board of directors is the governing body responsible for overseeing the operations of FACP.

     “I'm looking forward to the opportunity,” said Moody, who will be chairman of the organization next year. “For the Destin Area Chamber to be recognized by such a strong state association is a testament to the great work from our team and board.”
