Destin Area Chamber Receives Tourism Grant

     Destin, FL, July 15 - VISIT FLORIDA, on behalf of the Florida Commission on Tourism, the private/public partnership responsible for marketing Florida as a visitor destination, has awarded an Advertising Matching Grant to the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2010-11 Fiscal Year.

     The announcement of the grant, in the amount of $2,500, came during the Commission’s June 12 meeting in Tallahassee.

     “We are pleased VISIT FLORIDA and the Florida Commission on Tourism selected us form among a large number of grant applicants,” said Chamber’s Vice President of Communication Elizabeth Spies. “We will use these funds to print our 2011 Visitor’s Guide & Membership Directory, the only advertising publication the Chamber prints promoting the Destin area to visitors, residents, potential residents, and area businesses.”
