5th Annual Destin Area Summer Photo Contest to Begin Aug. 16

     Destin, FL, Aug. 6 - The Destin Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual photo contest beginning Monday, Aug. 16, through 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010.

     The Destin Area Summer Photo Contest began in 2006 as an exciting way to promote the beautiful city of Destin through locals’ and tourists’ experiences. Previous contest entries featured children playing in the sand, families enjoying attractions around Destin, beautiful sunsets, and fishermen unloading the day’s catch along the Destin harbor.

     The photo contest is divided into three categories, which include family photos, beach photos, and harbor/bay photos Winners in each category and one overall winner will be selected by the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff. All winners will receive a Destin prize package, filled with goodies from the area, and will be published in the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce's 2011 membership directory.
