Festival Offers Great Music, Great Food on Destin Harbor

     Destin, FL, Aug. 6 - On Sept. 17-19, the 32nd Annual Destin Seafood Festival will set up right on the Destin Harbor at the Destin Fishing Fleet Marina, City of Destin Royal Melvin Heritage Park, and Fisherman’s Wharf! Headliners are Starship Starring Mickey Thomas on Friday and LOVERBOY on Saturday, along with favorite regional acts throughout the weekend. In addition to great music, attendees may enjoy fresh local seafood from some of the area’s best restaurants, browse through arts & crafts booths, win prizes from the Florida Lottery, and much, much more. A kids’ area complete with rock climb, inflatables, and more will entertain the younger crowd. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Destin Fishermen’s Fund.

     “Without the fishing fleet, the fishermen, and their wives, there would be no Seafood Festival. In times like these, when our economy has been hit by so many different challenges putting so many hard-working people at risk of losing quality of life, what better use of the festival than to give back to the true heart, heritage, and history of our community?” explained Chamber President and CEO Shane Moody.
