Getting Fit Part of Your New Year’s Resolution?
Check Out Destin’s Bayou, Bay & Back 5K Run/Walk, 10K & Half Marathon

     Destin, FL, Jan. 13 – On Saturday, Jan. 28, join Biggest Loser Season 8 winner Danny Cahill, title sponsor Shoreline Church, and the Destin Area Sports Commission for the 2nd Destin’s Bayou, Bay & Back 5K Run/Walk, 10K & Half Marathon. The half marathon, new to the event this year, showcases the Choctawhatchee Bay, Destin Harbor, and East Pass, as its course leads runners through Destin, along a 4-mile undeveloped stretch of Okaloosa Island, and back.

     The start and finish line will be located at Clement Taylor Park in Destin, and the run begins at 7:30 a.m. The race features a 5K Run, 5K Walk, 10K Run, and Half Marathon Run. Awards will be given to all winners, both male and female, runners and walkers, in eight age divisions.

     Until Jan. 27, the race registration fee is $25 for the 5K and 10K and $30 for the half marathon. Registration may be completed by downloading and completing the race registration form at www.DestinChamber.com. Registration is also available at www.Active.com until Jan. 25. On Jan. 28, the race registration fee is $30 for the 5K and 10K and $65 for the half marathon, and registration may be completed at Clement Taylor Park, located at 131 Calhoun Avenue, in Destin, from 6 - 7 a.m. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 400 participants.
