GetMoreVacations.com Goes ‘Nationwide’
Locally owned business, Amenity Services Inc. (ASI), will have a race team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this year to market their vacation sweepstakes and website GetMoreVacations.com. The race team includes ASI Founder and President, Darrell Blanton, as the Owner, Johnny Sauter as the Driver, and Marc Browning as the Crew Chief. The team makes its debut on Feb. 13, in the Camping World 300 at Daytona International Speedway. The public is invited to 297 Azalea Drive in Destin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, to meet the team, get driver autographs, view the #48 Chevy Impala Race Car, and register to win a free vacation.

As you have seen and heard, the earthquake that rocked Haiti took thousands of lives and left more stranded without food and water. Okaloosa Arts Alliance 3rd annual Family Fun Arts Fest
The Okaloosa Arts Alliance is now accepting vendors and silent auction items for the 3rd annual Family Fun Arts Fest, which will be held on Saturday, May 22, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Henderson Beach State Park. Ronald McDonald House seeks sponsors for signature event
The Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida is seeking sponsors for its signature fundraising event, Kaps for Kids, to be held on May 5. Participants who make a $12-$15 donation to Ronald McDonald House receive their choice of a t-shirt, cap, or visor to wear on Kaps for Kids Day. Combo deals are also available, and all participants receive an invitation to the Kaps for Kids pre-event party. Lions Club Raffles 1964 Harley-Davidson Pan-head
The Sandestin Lions Club has tickets for a raffle of a 1964 Harley-Davidson Pan-head with trailer. Lions Clubs across Florida assist in promoting the tickets to benefit the Conklin Center (www.conkincenter.org), 100% of the proceeds go to help the Center. Valentine Social and Silent Auction on Feb. 14
St. Andrew's by the Sea Episcopal Church, 307 Harbor Blvd. in Destin, is holding a Valentine Social and Silent Auction on Feb. 14, from 4 - 6:30 p.m. Funds raised from this event will go to support the church ministries. Among those is a diversified program for the less fortunate of Destin, including hot meals, sack lunches, a food pantry, outdoor showers, and the use of free bicycles for transportation. Tickets are $10 each and can be obtained by calling either Kate at 650-2737 or Jennifer at 654-5476. Refreshments will be provided.
