Food Truck Frenzy at Okaloosa County Department of Corrections

In celebration of National Correctional Officers Week and National Nurses Appreciation Week, Okaloosa County Department of Corrections Leadership cordially invites the public and members of the media to join us for the 2nd Annual Food Truck Frenzy, as we recognize our corrections and nursing staff.

Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 6, 2021, from 11 am to 6:30 pm, a hearty variety of culinary creations will be available for purchase, thanks to eighteen food trucks who have generously agreed to set up at the Okaloosa County Department of Corrections parking lot at 1200 East James Lee Boulevard; Crestview, FL 32539. 

“The Department of Corrections is committed to public safety and we want our team members to know they are appreciated. We are looking forward this the opportunity to honor them,” said Okaloosa County Commissioner Paul Mixon. 

There will be five to six food trucks on-site each day and the entire top parking lot will be reserved for the trucks and a sitting area. The bottom parking is reserved to accommodate public parking. Scheduled food trucks include Priddy Mayja, Just Whatever Foods, Curry in a Hurry, Smash Mouth Foods, Dippin Dots, Bigger Picture Chow Wagon, Thai to Go, Copper Grille, Gwen’s Wing Snack, Melt, Frutas Locas, My Ohana, Holi on Wheels, Cheesus, Café Rico, Tiana’s Lunch Box and Maria’s Kitchen. Cinco Baptist Church will offer Free Ice Cream on Friday, May 6 from noon to 3pm.
