History Sandwiched-In August 9th at Noon!
Sheila Mooers will be with us to talk about the process of converting raw wool into yarn using a spinning wheel. Be sure to bring your lunch and a drink!
Sheila Mooers and her family live on their small farm in Milton. She learned to use a spinning wheel nearly twenty years ago, and enjoys demonstrating the process of making raw wool into yarn at schools and festivals. She feels that it is important to pass on the knowledge of how our ancestors lived in order to keep an awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the skills and hard work that were required in their day-to-day life.
