The Destin Library will showcase the work of local artists Linda Kernick and Anne Johnston beginning April 1st. The exhibit, entitled Visions of Spring, will run through April 30th and will feature over 20 pieces of oil and acrylics works.
Linda Kernick:
Linda Kernick is a mixed media artist. She has been an active member of the Okaloosa, Walton and Pensacola area art community for over 25 years. She teaches courses at the Art and Design Society and HH Art Gallery in Fort Walton Beach.
Kernick studied art and photography in Taos, New Mexico and Oxford, England. Linda Kernick’s website is www.linda-artist.com.
Anne Johnston:
Anne Johnston is a mixed media artist specializing in acrylics and oils. She is a graduate of Troy University where she minored in Art. She has studied under noted artists Beverly McNeil, John Lines, Sally Nooney, Nan Cunningham and Dr. Dale Gauvin.
During her career, Johnston taught Art at high schools in Alabama and Florida.
Johnston is a member of the Fort Walton Beach Arts and Design Society and is a founding member of Okaloosa Public Arts. She also maintains membership in the Dale County Council of Arts and Humanities in Ozark, Alabama.
