Students in Elementary School are welcome to join their first book discussion group designed especially for them: Kids’ Chat! On April 16th, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., Children’s Librarian, Laura Harris, will lead the picture book discussion virtually using Microsoft Teams. Our first picture book will be Pies from Nowhere: How Georgia Gilmore Sustained the Montgomery Bus Boycott, written by Dee Romito. This book club is open to everyone; however internet access and an email address are required. To ensure there are enough copies of the book available for all participants, please register for this event by emailing Laura at lharris@cityofdestin.com. A link to the program will be sent two days prior to the discussion.
