    Job Description

    The Event Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Events Department. This includes event budgeting, planning and execution, overseeing entertainment and assisting with marketing for HarborWalk Village.

    Responsibilities of the Event Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Serve as supervisor/manager for the events team including: Event Coordinator, Production Manager, Event/Marketing Assistants, Events Interns
    • Responsible for developing and budgeting a yearly event calendar that drives volume and revenue to HarborWalk Village merchants and promotes community involvement.
    • Prepare annual marketing budget, monthly financial review and monthly forecast
    • Oversee all planning, execution and evaluation of HWV Events
    • Responsible for all day-of event operations including set-up, execution and breakdown.
    • Source, coordinate and compensate all volunteers/labor for events
    • Ensures proper insurance requirements are in place and processes all payments for event vendors.
    • Engages and recruits community partners for events as needed.
    • Oversees the coordination of all temporary event vendors.
    • Lead events team in creating after-action reports for each event that include: attendance, weather, demographic, revenue (for both event & HWV merchants), and other relevant data that pertains to events
    • Work with the Production Manager - source & book all entertainment for events and ensure all contracts/riders are properly completed.
    • Along with Director of Marketing & Events, generates and maintains sponsorships/partnerships including trade contracts with vendors, local & regional businesses and local military groups
    • Oversees reconciliation of HarborBucks Program.
