9th Annual Field of Valor hosted by the Niceville Exchange Club

The Exchange Club of Niceville, in partnership with the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Inc., hosts the Field of Valor each year to honor service members from Florida that have been killed in action while serving in Afghanistan or Iraq since September 11, 2001. This week long event is free and open to the public.
Opening ceremonies are September 10 at 10:00 a.m. Please plan to attend, featuring inspirational words from our very own Ed Hubbard, Vietnam Veteran, former POW, internationally known motivational speaker, author, artist, and photographer, Brigadier General Jeff Geraghty, 96TW Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mike Loconsolo, 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), other elected officials and concluding with patriotic music by Rocky Bayou Christian School Chamber Choir.

389 large American flags, measuring 3 feet by 5 feet and mounted on 8-foot poles, will be displayed in perfect rows and columns on the grassy field at the north end of the Mullet Festival grounds in Niceville, Florida. Each flag bears the name of a service member who gave his or her life while stationed in Afghanistan or Iraq. There is no more reverent way to honor the ultimate sacrifice than to ensure they will always be remembered. For more information, call (850) 306-0131 or email us at Support@NicevilleExchange.Club.

Each flag is $25 and our goal is to have all 389 flags sponsored. Volunteers are also needed to staff the field in short 2-hour blocks throughout the week. Please help, serving with your hands (aka your time) fills your heart! If everyone does a little, it helps a lot!
