The Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation announced today that the Emerald Ball raised $190,666 benefiting Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast’s acquisition of a state-of-the-art CT scanner for Pediatric and Adult patients.
The black-tie event was presented by Howard Group, Grand Boulevard Sandestin Town Center, Silver Sands Premium Outlets and Jim and Tammy Pierce. More than 290 community members, physicians and supporters of the hospital attended the event.
The Emerald Ball was held at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa where guests enjoyed an evening of dinner and dancing, while raising funds to help purchase a new CT scanner for Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast. The scanner is considered one of the industry’s fastest and most versatile scanning modes, allowing an entire adult chest, abdomen and pelvis study to be conducted in approximately one second so patients don’t need to hold their breath. This technology will be ideal for patients who have difficulty remaining very still during a scan. It represents a dramatic leap forward in CT technology, and exemplifies our commitment to excellence at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast.
"I am thrilled that the Emerald Ball was such a success," said Adrienne Maygarden, President of the Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation. "Our community hospital relies on our dedicated volunteers, partners, and leaders in our community who give of their time, talent, and energy to ensure high quality, compassionate healthcare. We couldn't be more grateful."
Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation’s next fundraising event is the 20th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Sept. 23, 2022, at Burnt Pine Golf Club at Sandestin.
