It’s back to school time and the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) is doing its annual drive for school supplies donated by the community. The supplies will help children whose families are economically challenged.
They are needing binders, notebooks, pencils, pens, folders, rulers, paper, scissors and any other school supplies for all ages. Donations can be dropped off during the days at either of ECCAC’s two centers located in Niceville and DeFuniak Springs. Contact Sara Sharp, ECCAC’s Client Care Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org
, or call 850-833-9237 x253 for information about the school supply needs.
“Since schools in both Okaloosa and Walton counties are starting on Aug. 10, we would appreciate receiving the deliveries as soon as possible so we can distribute to kids in need,” commented ECCAC’s CEO Julie Porterfield. “Helping kids is our core mission, and we thank the community for their school supply donations.”
ECCAC is in its 21st year of operation and has provided over 150,000 services at no cost to more than 15,000 children experiencing abuse, abandonment or neglect to include mental health therapy, crisis intervention, referrals to other community providers, interviews and medicals.
