Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida Connects with the Communities Virtually
May 22, 2020As an organization driven by one-to-one connections, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida (BBBSNWFL) had to adapt in many ways due to COVID-19. In response, BBBSNWFL remains virtual, keeping the health and wellness of the staff, volunteers, children, and families at the highest priority. The staff of BBBSNWFL is working remotely and innovating new engaging ways to remain connected with the communities from Pensacola to Panama City. 'Let's Talk Tuesdays' has become the new virtual way to learn about BBBSNWFL.
Each week on Tuesday, virtual recruitment and information sessions are hosted by a BBBSNWFL staff member and conducted through Zoom. Each session is 30 minutes long and filled with information on becoming a Big, donor, and friend of the agency. Each week the Zoom registration links can be found on the Big Brothers Big Sister's Facebook and Instagram page. To offer a session to fit everyone's schedule, there will be three opportunities for you to connect with BBBSNWFL. There is an 8:30 A.M, 12 P.M., or 5:30 P.M. session. Enjoy your morning coffee, lunch, or dinner while learning more about igniting, defending, and empowering potential. BBBSNWFL wants to ensure they continue to serve the youth of Northwest Florida and children need mentors now more than ever. If you are interested in becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, or just want to learn more about BBBSNWFL's mission and vision, 'Let's Talk Tuesdays' is a great resource.
"We want to ensure we are still able to serve out communities, so 'Let's Talk Tuesdays' has become our virtual recruitment tool." Said Paula Shell, President & CEO. "During these unprecedented times, it is important that we can still share our mission and continue making matches in order to provide consistency and stability in a time we need it most."
Now is the time to be bigger together. Join BBBSNWFL for their next 'Let's Talk Tuesdays' happening on Tuesday, May 26th. Register for your preferred time by visiting their Facebook or Instagram page. You can also visit their website, bbbsnwfl.org to learn more.
