The 14th Annual Children in Crisis Charity Golf Tournament held at the Ft. Walton Beach Golf Course, raised $30,000 for the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community. This year’s winning team was Paul Johnson, Justin Shirley, Owen Moore, and Steven Shirley with a score of 55.
Over 144 golfers competed for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes, and longest drive award. Golfers enjoyed a Jim and Nick’s lunch prior to play, samples by Half Shell Oyster House and Hooter’s of Destin wings, refreshments from Winn-Dixie and food stops on the course and heavy hors d’oeuvres by Lesgo Personal Chef at the awards party. There were hole-in-one prizes, door prizes, free golf shirts and much more!
According to Ken Hair, CIC President, and CEO, “This year’s CIC Golf Tournament raised the bar even higher than previous years. A big thank you goes out to golf committee Chair, Brittany Dykes, CIC Volunteer and Events Director, and the wonderful army of volunteers. We couldn’t be happier with the wonderful turnout of golfing participants. The funds raised helps give a safe, loving home to over 100 children every year.”
