    Vets Helping Vets AC & Heating System Giveaway
    Superior Air Conditioning Company, in partnership with Kick’n Country 103.5 and Classic Rock 95.9, is donating an AC & Heating System to one deserving Active Duty Military or Veteran and their children.     Operation Sunscreen of the Gulf Coast Collects Items to Send to Soldiers
    Operation Sunscreen prepares and sends packages to deployed Airmen and Soldiers from our local bases. Items needed include trial-sized shampoos, conditioners, soaps, toothpaste, sanitary napkins and other toiletries. Also very popular are Destin-specific items, like koozies, t-shirts, stickers, and more. Financial contributions are also accepted. For more information, contact Capt.     Super Heroes Celebrate with InDyne Heroes

    Beach Brawl Sk8r Dolls Support CIC Kids
    Children In CrisisThe Beach Brawl Sk8r Dolls presented a donation of more than $900 to Children in Crisis (CIC) from the proceeds of the last home game of the 2015 season.  The Beach Brawl Sk8r Dolls is a team of athletic ladies who strive to change the world one “BOUT” at a time and seek empowerment for women and the protection of children.     Destin Rotary Receives Humanitarian Award 
    Destin Rotary ClubThe Destin Rotary Club was recently honored for its 100% member participation with “Every Rotarian Every Year” (EREY) award. This recognizes that 100% of every club member is making a gift to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund to create positive change in communities at home and around the world.  This initiative helps strengthen peace efforts, provides clean water and sanitation, supports education, grows local economies, saves mothers and children, and fights disease.  

    Goodman Joins Sacred Heart Medical Group in Miramar Beach
    Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald CoastDr. Ralph Goodman, a board-certified endocrinologist, joined Sacred Heart Medical Group’s practice in Miramar Beach. Goodman has special interests in managing diabetes and helping his patients maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hormonal disorders, such as thyroid disease, lipid disorders, hypertension, high cholesterol, and osteoporosis. Goodman received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his residency training at City of Memphis Hospitals and went completed his fellowship with the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences.

    Kiwanis Club of Destin Helps Local Charities
    Kiwanis Club of DestinThe Kiwanis Club of Destin recently presented annual donations to 10 local charities, including Children in Crisis, Children’s Volunteer Health Network, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Emerald Coast Science Center, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Florida Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch, Harvest House, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, Okaloosa Walton Readers, and Shelter House.  The funds were donated to help the charities carryout their important missions and to strengthen the community.
