Knights of Columbus Presents Donation to United Way Emerald Coast
Knights of Columbus, St Mary’s Council #4444 of Fort Walton Beach, helped jump start United Way Emerald Coast’s annual coat drive: COATS FOR KIDS at Christmas with a check for $500. Much needed coats will be purchased for local children in need of a warm coat. “Sharing the Warmth” (left to right) are Paul Spikes, Jesse Flores, Dan O’Roarke, United Way CEO Kelly Jasen, Michael Rivera, United Way Cindy Holmes, Richard Hickenbotham, Bob Brady, and United Way Barbara Roach. Last year, over 2,000 coats were donated and distributed to United Way’s Community Partners throughout Okaloosa and Walton Counties including Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation and Walton County School Foundation. To receive a coat, please contact your child’s school counselor. To donate new coats or cleaned, gently used coats, look for one of the COATS FOR KIDS donation boxes in many of the local banks, federal credit unions, Publix Super Markets or other local businesses. For a complete listing of drop-off locations, go to United Way Emerald Coast website https://united-way.org/coats-for-kids/. COATS FOR KIDS will continue until Dec. 5.
