This summer, Howard Hospitality received an American Flag and Certificate from Special Forces 7th Group. Ron, a member of the team, presented the company with a framed flag and certificate in appreciation for the support shown to his wife, Howard Hospitality employee Nogah Winfield, during his deployment. Howard Hospitality faced many challenges this year due to the global pandemic, yet the South Walton based company continued to put the safety and wellbeing of their employees first.
The COVID-19 crisis began in the middle of team’s deployment and delayed their return home. Nogah shares, "Throughout Ron’s deployment, I told my husband how grateful I was to work with such an amazing group of people. Whether it was time off to take our daughter to the doctor or a flexible schedule to handle unforeseen occurrences, my manager and the Howard Hospitality leadership team always made it possible for me to do my job and still take care of my family. It's something both my husband and I are grateful for."
The certificate reads: “This flag of the United States of America has been flown in the face of the enemy over Camp Vazquez, Afghanistan, in support of Resolute Support Mission XIII, and Operation Freedom's Sentinel.” It is presented by service members as a gift of gratitude.
“Compassion and support for our staff, especially now, is what makes Howard Hospitality so special,” stated Tania Koehler, Howard Hospitality Vice President. “We are incredibly grateful to Ron and his team for his service to this great country and his gift will be cherished by our company.”
