CNBC is featuring local Veteran entrepreneur Chassity Jackson, Founder of Battle Beauties Fashion
, as part of a small business town hall on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 12 - 1 p.m. Central.
Here is more about the town hall from its online description:
"Our communities are reeling from an economic halt while facing racial justice issues that strike the core of our nation.
As we rebuild in a post-COVID world, we need to ensure small and new businesses not only survive but thrive. Businesses less than five years old create nearly all net new jobs in the country, yet they continue to be left out of the national dialogue.
And the reality is that the people with the passion and desire to start a business are stopped in their tracks because of limited access to capital and support networks. This is especially true for people of color, women, and rural entrepreneurs.
CNBC + Acorns' Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow. and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation are teaming up to host a virtual town hall that will address the critical issues facing small businesses and share solutions that can rebuild our economy and level the playing field.
Small and new business owners will have direct access to a team of some of the country’s most knowledgeable entrepreneurs, small business advisors, financial experts and thought leaders. Select small business owners will have the opportunity to ask their most pressing questions about how they can best adapt their business and finances to the world around them."
