Natural Gas Line Maintenance Scheduled in Miramar Beach
Okaloosa Gas District will perform scheduled line maintenance Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24, 2020, between 6:00am and 6:00pm on the north side of Emerald Coast Parkway in front of Silver Sands Premium Outlets in Miramar Beach. Thursday, maintenance will occur at the intersections of both Emerald Coast Parkway & Scenic Highway 98 and Emerald Coast Parkway & Poinciana Boulevard. Continued maintenance will be completed Friday, July 24th solely at the intersection of Emerald Coast Parkway & Poinciana Boulevard. The controlled release of natural gas poses no danger and will safely evaporate in the air causing no harm to our environment. Individuals in the surrounding area should expect to smell a natural gas “sulfur-like” smell and could possibly hear a loud, roaring sound as the gas is dispersed.
