Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Grand Opening of Float Brothers Float Spa
Destin, Fla., Feb. 11 – On Feb. 4, Float Brothers Float Spa celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Destin Chamber.
Float Brothers Float Spa is a Department of Health-Certified Facility with four 9-foot-long, 5-foot-wide float pods. Each has 10 inches, or roughly 150 gallons, of water with 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. The salt makes the water so dense that users float effortlessly on top of the water.
If desired, the float pods can close completely blocking out all light, and ear plugs may be worn to block out sound. The water temperature matches the outside sensory touch of the skin, so you cannot even feel it while floating. Additionally, mp3 players or phones may be plugged into the pods, for those wishing to listen to music, audio books, or even learn a new language.
Float therapy has been shown to offer stress and anxiety relief, athletic performance enhancement, immune system strengthening, pain relief, healing, improved sleep, reduced blood pressure, deeper meditation, heightened self-awareness, increased creativity, and improved problem solving ability. Military Veterans that have been medically diagnosed with PTSD may float for free.
Float sessions, which are 60 or 90 minutes long, and membership prices are available on the website. For more information, call (850) 460-8720, visit FloatBrothers.com, or follow Facebook.com/FloatBrothers.
