Local leader Southern Vacation Rentals is proud to celebrate 25 years in business along the Gulf Coast. What began in Destin in 1995 with just a few vacation homes and condos has grown steadily over the last 25 years into an industry powerhouse with an inventory of nearly 1,200 vacation rentals. Southern’s presence now extends across over 200 miles of coastline managing properties with one to 32-bedrooms from Panama City Beach, Fla., to Fort Morgan, Ala.
Southern’s resilience in the ever-changing landscape of vacation rental management is attributed to several factors, including developing longstanding relationships with owners, strategic planning and partnerships, investing in cutting edge technology, dedicating resources to innovation, and a strong drive to always improve processes and bottom line revenue for their property owners. In keeping with those concepts, Southern has launched a new website, partnering with Intercoastal Net Designs (ICND), located in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. Reflective of Southern’s drive to be at the forefront of the vacation rental industry, the new website design places greater emphasis on the user experience.

Guests enjoy bigger, bolder, property images along with robust descriptions designed to showcase and highlight each property. Virtual tours and floorplans allow guests to familiarize themselves with the property before arriving. During the exploration process, guests can now search with new and improved filters and an interactive map display.
Additionally, the website highlights experiences with the addition of an enhanced Gulf Coast Guide. Centered around dining, adventure, leisure, and events, Southern’s new Gulf Coast Guide showcases popular spots in all 10 of Southern’s areas of operation to provide guests with the best in vacation inspiration. Guests can browse options for the best restaurants, popular fishing charters, local shopping, and more to accompany their vacation.

Southern is no stranger to innovation. In late 2018, the company restructured its operations department to streamline the care of each property with the new Portfolio Manager role, and recently merged its Client Care department, previously Reservations and Guest Services, into the Brand Ambassador division in order to better serve the company’s guests. By implementing these processes, always streamlining and transforming, the locally-owned and operated company is able to stay successful and remain a leading force in the vacation rental industry.
