Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) continues to see the fruits of its labor during its seventh season, celebrating new attendance records for educational final performances as well as the continuing partnership with the Florida Chautauqua Theatre in DeFuniak Springs.

“ECTC was founded because of the need for educational theatre opportunities in our community,” said Anna Fisher, ECTC’s Associate Artistic and Education Director.  “We are thrilled with the growth we have seen at our Grand Boulevard location, and we are so excited about the new partnership with the Florida Chautauqua Theatre in DeFuniak Springs.”

ECTC has increased the duration of its educational programs for its youngest cast members, the Little Rascals. ECTC Kids and Teens programs continue to span roughly 13 weeks.

All programs are offered at either ECTC’s performance space at 560 Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach or at the Florida Chautauqua Theatre at 848 Baldwin Ave. in DeFuniak Springs.

This spring, Emerald Coast Theatre Company will be offering an exciting opportunity for young Thespians from 5th grade through high school. In addition to coaching monologues, songs, duets, and scenes, ECTC will be focusing on creating new works in film and theater. As an ensemble, the class will be building a piece of devised theater by taking a short story and turning it into a one-act through collaborative and improvisatory movement based work. ECTC will also be providing an opportunity for aspiring directors, writers, and actors to explore the medium of film. In addition to opportunities to perform in the community throughout the spring, the semester will be ending with a spectacular spring showcase on the last day of class. $350 per person.

    Spring Break Showstoppers
    Mar. 16 - 20, 2nd-5th grade, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at ECTC.
This spring break, ECTC will be putting together a Theatre Showcase, starring your child. Harnessing their unique talents, students will perform a scene or musical numbers from the hit Broadway shows they have always wanted to be in. This camp will focus on your child learning about themselves and their strengths. Work together and watch your student step up to their full potential. $150 per person.

A $25 non-refundable registration fee is required. Tuition may be split into payments. Payment plans, sibling, and military discounts are available.
