    Dear Industry Partner,

As the 2020 Florida Legislative Session ends, I’m pleased to announce that VISIT FLORIDA will be reauthorized for three additional years (until October 2023) with a recurring appropriation of $50 million. This is a huge win for VISIT FLORIDA and the entire Florida tourism industry because our organization will continue to be able to offer important services and marketing to help our communities!

I would like to recognize Governor Ron DeSantis for his leadership that ensured VISIT FLORIDA’s reauthorization and continued mission to grow Florida’s tourism industry and support over 1.5 million jobs.

We are also grateful to our bill sponsors – Senator Ed Hooper and Representative Mel Ponder for their work this legislative session, and to Senator President Bill Galvano and every member of the Legislature for supporting our organization.

This year’s legislative success is due to our industry’s commitment to VISIT FLORIDA and your tireless advocacy on our behalf this past year. If not for the support of our industry partners, VISIT FLORIDA would not have had a chance of being reauthorized this legislative session.

I look forward to the upcoming year as our organization can now turn its full attention to our mission, as well as working together to respond to the threat of COVID-19. The latest on VISIT FLORIDA’s response can be found HERE.

    Sincerely,

    Dana Young
    President and CEO, VISIT FLORIDA
