White-Wilson Medical Center Opens in DeFuniak Springs

Continuing in its mission to bring award-winning health care to communities across the Emerald Coast, White-Wilson Medical Center has opened a new clinic location to serve families in DeFuniak Springs. This location will provide both pediatric and adult medicine services in one central location at the DeFuniak Shopping Plaza, 1045 US 331 South. 

“For over 75 years, it has been our goal to increase access to quality health care in local communities,” says Alan Gieseman, White-Wilson Chief Executive Officer. “We are extremely proud to be able to bring the White-Wilson standard of care to the people of DeFuniak Springs and are so appreciative to the warm welcome we have already received.”

To lead the clinic, White-Wilson has brought on two new health care providers who bring with them extensive experience and training. 

Currently offering same day and next day care for adults is Brittany Mosley, APRN. A long-time resident of the community, APRN Mosley is registered by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has more than a decade of experience caring for patients of all ages. In addition to offering general family medicine services, APRN Mosley also specializes in women’s wellness and the treatment of urgent illnesses and injuries. 

Pediatrician Dr. Dale Volquartsen joins from California, where he retired to civilian practice after a long career caring for children as a physician in the U.S. Air Force. Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Volquartsen has more than 30 years of health care experience and will begin seeing patients in February. 

“Dr. Volquartsen and APRN Mosley are both highly skilled health care providers with proven track records of providing excellent care,” says Gieseman. “We are fortunate that they have joined our team and have the utmost confidence in them to lead this new clinic for many years to come.”

The opening of the DeFuniak Springs site establishes White-Wilson’s sixth service area and extends their services from Santa Rosa County to Walton County. Currently, the local, physician-owned group is home to almost 90 health care providers.  

Both Dr. Volquartsen and APRN Mosley are accepting new patients, with appointments Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Same day appointments are available.  To schedule, patients may call the clinic at 850-314-6194.
