Monday, October 25, 2021Vivienne Williams Joins Destin History & Fishing Museum as Associate Director
The Destin History & Fishing Museum recently announced that Vivienne Williams is joining the team as Associate Director. She previously worked with the musem as an intern on two different exhibits in 2020. She has her Masters Degree in Public History from UWF, and she has experience in event planning, while working at the Mystic Seaport Museum. Meet Vivienne at the Museum on Tuesdays - Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesday, July 07, 2021Fishermen’s Tales Told at the Destin Library
On Thursday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m., the Destin Library invites you to come and hear Fishermen’s Tales presented as part of the 2021 Summer Reading Program, Tails and Tales. Local fishermen will share their favorite and most fantastical stories from working at the Destin Harbor. There will also a video presentation with Kathy Marler Blue from the Destin History & Fishing Museum recounting fish stories from the past. This is a live event at the library and the video will be posted on the library’s Facebook
