RE-Fill the Backpacks

Food for Thought has been forced to cut back on the amount of food going into bags for the rest of the school year due to the impacts of inflation and food costs. Instead of 13 items, the bags now contain six items, in an effort to manage the 40% increase in costs. The Alys Foundation wants to help! It will match donations up to $15,000 to help FFT RE-Fill backpacks. With these funds, students can have the food they need every week. Your donation matched here!

Families across the country are dealing with the impacts of inflation. Learning from families that they desire to have more fresh food (produce, cheese, milk, bread, etc.) it is our goal to be able to provide as much fresh food as possible for our summer curbside services. #youcanhelp by sponsoring a family for $40 this summer. Destin Rotary Spring Butt Rubb Fundraiser To Support Four Local Charities

The Rotary Club of Destin is pleased to announce the Spring 2021 Butt Rubb is back! Rotary volunteers rub (with a secret blend of spices), smoke, pull, shred and cook approximately 180 pork butts, and then bag them for the customer’s convenience. Starting in March 2020, we at Food For Thought shifted away from our long established weekly backpack program to curbside food distributions. Curbside services ensured that we could continue to provide access to food to the children we serve while schools were closed and students were learning from home. More Than $200K Raised Through Stock the Pantry

The 7th Annual Stock the Pantry Fundraiser, which was held virtually this year, raised $204,573, exceeding Food for Thought Outreach's goal by $53K. Thank you to all who contributed to this fundraising campaign. Help Stock the Food For Thought Pantry for the 2020/21 School Year!  In light of the current state of our daily lives, we are revamping our annual Stock the Pantry Food Drive to be a virtual team-based fundraiser this year. Food For Thought Outreach received a generous donation from Isagenix®, a global health and wellness company providing nutrition and lifestyle solutions, through the efforts and the help of Jim and Tammy Pierce.
